As a Welder, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our ships—ensuring all welding tasks are performed efficiently and safely. Your work directly impacts the overall guest experience, supporting the seamless operation of onboard amenities and services. Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Secure all necessary work permits before beginning any tasks
• Ensure a Fire Patrol is present before starting any hot work
• Safely store all welding equipment after use
• Inspect and maintain all welding tools and accessories, and report any issues to the Staff Chief Engineer
• Keep the welding workshop and gas storage areas clean and organized
• Follow all occupational health and safety protocols during work
• Request refills of welding gases/oxygen bottles, without exceeding capacity limits
• Comply with all environmental guidelines and procedures
• Participate fully in safety drills and training sessions

Qualifications and competence:

• At least 12 months of proven experience as a welder
• High school diploma or technical training
• Completion of basic STCW safety training
• Proficiency in English
• A strong sense of teamwork and a commitment to safety and health protocols
• A positive attitude and representation of the Carnival brand
• Experience as Welder onboard cruise ships
