Position Summary

The Bar Server is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner. This role combines customer service, product knowledge, and attention to detail to create memorable guest experiences in bar and lounge environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and engaging manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take beverage and food orders accurately, recommending options based on guest preferences.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards.
• Monitor guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the experience.
• Ensure the bar and service areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of food and alcohol.
• Handle payments and operate POS systems accurately.
• Communicate effectively with bartenders, kitchen staff, and fellow servers.
• Upsell premium products and promote current specials or events.
• Follow company policies regarding responsible alcohol service and guest safety.
• Participate in team meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and restocking duties.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and general bar etiquette.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast-paced environments.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess any required certifications (e.g., RSA, TIPS).
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays or cases.

Work Environment:

• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to loud environments and varied indoor/outdoor settings depending on the venue.
