RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the welfare and engagement of seafarers and their families.

• Act as a trusted point of contact for crew members and their families.

• Promote a culture of empathy, transparency, and continuous improvement.

• Represent the company at crew events and in communications with stakeholders.

• Use data and analytics to monitor engagement and inform decision-making.

DUTIES

Seafarer Welfare & Support

• Reach out proactively to seafarers to assess wellbeing and provide support.

• Maintain confidentiality while offering follow-up or escalating concerns.

• Build personal relationships through ongoing communication and support.

Public Speaking & Engagement

• Speak at crew gatherings, presentations, and industry events across different locations.

• Deliver updates on company initiatives in an inspiring and approachable manner.

• Conduct both virtual and in-person engagement sessions regularly.

Family Outreach & Activities

• Serve as the main contact for seafarers’ families regarding queries or support needs.

• Organize and execute events for seafarers’ families to foster a sense of community.

• Maintain continuous, supportive communication with families.

Travel & Presence

• Travel regularly to training centers, events both locally and internationally.

• Ensure visibility and build personal trust through on-ground presence.

Data & Analytics

• Collect and analyze junior-level data on crew engagement, welfare trends, and event feedback.

• Use insights to optimize programs and identify potential concerns early.

• Prepare reports and present findings on welfare engagement to management.

AUTHORITY

• Initiate and coordinate welfare and engagement activities for seafarers and families.

• Escalate sensitive crew welfare concerns to appropriate departments or leadership.

• Represent the company in crew and public forums.

• Recommend improvements or changes based on data insights.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

• Preferred experience in employee engagement.

• Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated empathy, active listening, and cultural awareness.

• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or equivalent data tools for reporting and analysis.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both locally and internationally.

• Experience in the maritime or seafaring industry is a strong advantage.
