Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in maritime or offshore environments.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure, including Layer 3 switches and VLAN configuration.
• Proven ability to interface and manage both IT and IoT networks, ensuring alignment with company cybersecurity protocols and restrictions.
• Good troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Ability to work independently, and coordinate with cross-functional teams onshore and offshore.

Tasks:

• Maintain and monitor the onboard IT and communication systems, ensuring stable and secure operations.
• Manage and configure Cisco networking equipment, including switches, VLANs, and access control.
• Oversee the integration and segregation of IT and IoT networks, ensuring cybersecurity compliance.
• Conduct regular network and system audits to identify and resolve vulnerabilities or inefficiencies.
• Assist in setting up and managing remote access systems for shore-based monitoring or support.
• Maintain documentation of IT configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with the company’s IT department onshore for updates, policy compliance, and support escalations.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols, including regular updates, patches, and antivirus monitoring.
