Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Demonstrated experience operating crawler cranes offshore aboard subsea, construction, or heavy-lift vessels
- Valid and current IMCA Crane Operator Logbook is mandatory
- Stage 3 Offshore Crane Operator certification from a recognized body (e.g., OPITO, DNV, Lloyd’s Register)
- Familiarity with offshore lifting operations and adherence to safety regulations (LOLER, HSE)
- Valid offshore survival training (BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS)
- Valid offshore medical certificate (OGUK or equivalent)
- Strong awareness of lift planning, equipment checks, and deck coordination
- Capable of working in dynamic marine environments with multinational teams
- English proficiency
Tasks:
- Operate crawler cranes for lifting operations between vessels, subsea structures, and platform assets
- Perform daily pre-use inspections and ensure crane equipment is maintained in safe working condition
- Follow lifting plans and communicate effectively with deck crew, riggers, and supervisors
- Assist in coordinating deck activities during cargo handling and equipment deployment
- Maintain accurate lift records in accordance with company procedures and client requirements
- Actively contribute to safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Report equipment malfunctions and participate in incident reporting processes
