As a Casino Cashier with Royal Caribbean International, you will be the frontline representative managing cash, chips, coins, checks, credit transactions, and other monetary exchanges for guests enjoying our onboard casino. Your role is vital in ensuring smooth, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining security and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Greet guests warmly and provide detailed information on casino cashiering services.
• Accurately exchange chips, cash, coins, checks, and credit for guests efficiently.
• Operate electronic coin counters and chip mechanisms to verify and provide currency equivalencies.
• Manage credit card approvals, maintain credit logs, and handle transaction documentation.
• Respond professionally to guest inquiries and resolve complaints by actively listening and following up.
• Balance, reconcile, and report daily cash drawer totals including various forms of currency.
• Prepare and authorize coins for slot machines and participate in casino count activities.
• Maintain cage security protocols and remain vigilant for suspicious activities, reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with casino management to notify about high rollers and participate in training sessions.

Qualifications and competence:

• Minimum 2 years cash handling experience in casino, banking, or hospitality environment.
• Proven excellence in customer service with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to count chips, coins, and cash quickly and accurately; basic math proficiency required.
• Familiarity with coin counters, chip mechanisms, 10-key adding machines, and standard office software (Excel, Word).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, German) are a plus.
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift/move up to 50 lbs; participate in emergency drills.
