As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team across accommodation areas, public spaces, crew zones, or pool areas. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager, you will ensure that cleanliness, safety, and service standards are consistently met while leading and motivating your team to deliver exceptional guest and crew experiences. Your strong leadership, communication, and training skills will foster a positive, productive work environment.


Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Supervise and support housekeeping staff, ensuring duties are performed efficiently and to company standards.
  • Maintain a visible presence across work areas, including accommodations, public, crew, and pool spaces.
  • Conduct inspections of rooms and public areas to uphold quality, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Manage work assignments, schedules, and performance evaluations for a team of 10+ employees.
  • Lead daily pre-shift briefings to review schedules, priorities, and operational changes.
  • Audit crew timecards and manage sanitation and SQM logs.
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and timely resolution.
  • Administer training and ongoing development for new and current staff members.
  • Monitor equipment, supplies, and inventory while supporting cost containment efforts.
  • Collaborate with management to meet or exceed all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and competence:

  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in housekeeping within a large hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line, or hospitality environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with computers and software including Excel, Word, and hospitality management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to administer disciplinary actions with professionalism and tact.
  • Completion of Omnia Behavioral Assessment required.
  • Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing required.
  • Additional languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Italian, French, German, Portuguese) highly desirable.
