Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Ability to ensure coating equipment working status during the project and project preparation, installation and start-up.
  • Ability to ensure that the maintenance of the coating equipment is done as per instructions.
  • Knowledge of electrical hazards and accident prevention, including but not limited to PPE and lockout-tagout procedures.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems. Capability to carry out electrical inspections, maintenance, and analyse electrical breakdowns, providing solutions.
  • Troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation drawings
  • Skilled in identifying and troubleshooting issues with pipeline equipment
  • Hands-on experience with welding systems, including arc, plasma, and induction heating tools
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and electrotechnical components
  • Capable of commissioning and testing pipeline equipment and instrumentation
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in pipeline operations ora  related technical field
  • Intermediate English proficiency, spoken and written
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Works well in teams and prioritises safety in field operations


Tasks:

  • Install, operate, and maintain pipeline construction and testing equipment
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of welding and heating systems for pipeline joints
  • Conduct functional tests on electrical and instrumentation systems during commissioning
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical faults in pipeline equipment
  • Monitor and document performance data during field operations
  • Support the preparation and interpretation of technical drawings and documentation
  • Ensure proper use and handling of tools, machinery, and safety equipment
  • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete tasks on schedule
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on pipeline tools and machinery
  • Follow industry standards and safety procedures at all times
