OSM Thome is seeking an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on board a an immersion pontoon for an offshore construction project in Denmark. The role focuses on ensuring reliable performance of onboard electrical and electronic systems by conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting faults, and supporting operational technologies. It involves addressing technical issues proactively, maintaining essential equipment, and contributing to the vessel’s overall safety and functionality through close coordination with the onboard team.
Position Overview:
- Role: Electro Technical Officer (ETO)
- Location: Foreshore operations between Denmark and Germany. Based in Rødbyhavn (shore accommodation will be provided during off-shift hours).

Main Responsibilities:
- Support the lead engineer on board with electrical tasks and system oversight.
- Manage the upkeep and functionality of vessel-based electrical systems and subsea-related components.
- Monitor and troubleshoot onboard power and control installations.
- Collaborate with shore-based support teams on repairs and system updates.
- Recommend and track critical spare parts for electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults in electronic and electrical equipment.
- Maintain and document compliance with safety and environmental protocols.
- Carry out duties within the planned maintenance framework for vessel systems.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or completion of equivalent technical/vocational training
- Experience with hydraulic systems and winch operations is compulsory.
- Electro-Technical Officer III/6 or Rating III/7 certification
- Proven offshore or maritime sector experience.
- Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate.
- Proficient in reading and analysing electrical schematics.
- Knowledgeable in both high and low voltage systems, including PLC technologies
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a team and taking initiative in practical tasks.
- Proficiency in English.
