Information about the job:
- Job Title: Welding QC Supervisor.
- Project: Various Offshore Vessels.
- Location: Worldwide.
- Rotation: 90/30 days on/off 56/28 days on/off.
- Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly.
- Contract duration: 12 months (renewable).
- Start date: TBC.
- Insurance: Provided by the Company.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- 10–15 years of experience in inspection and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities.
- CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector.
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) – ISO 9712 Level 2 or PCN Level 2.
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – ISO 9712 Level 2 or PCN Level 2 (Modules 3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9; Butt welds in plate and pipe, T-joint welds, nozzle welds, and node welds).
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) – ISO 9712 Level 2 or PCN Level 2.
- Experience working on offshore heavy lifting vessels.
- Strong understanding of QC plans, inspection test plans, and welding standards.
- Familiarity with welding consumables, calibration, and storage requirements.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Review and verify QC plans and procedures for welding activities.
- Confirm availability and suitability of welding materials, tools, and equipment.
- Check that materials and instruments are properly received, identified, stored, calibrated, and traceable.
- Support qualification reviews for inspection teams and verify compliance with approved procedures.
- Participate in defining and maintaining QC data management and reporting systems.
- Supervise and witness inspection activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Oversee subcontractor QC performance and confirm adherence to approved plans and inspection standards.
- Ensure inspection and testing documentation is collected, maintained, and included in the final As-Built handover package.
- Verify the preparation and completeness of the Quality dossier for final project delivery.
