Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Proven experience with mechanical commissioning and maintenance, specifically on rotating machinery.
• Strong understanding of international safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in team coordination, safety behaviour, and technical mentorship.
• Ability to assess team competency levels and support development where gaps exist.
• Proficient in permit-to-work systems and hazard management procedures.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination and multi-discipline collaboration (e.g., electrical and instrumentation teams).
• Proficiency in English.

Tasks:

• Lead and oversee safe start-up, commissioning, and maintenance of rotating mechanical assets.
• Ensure all operational activities are conducted in alignment with safety protocols and regulatory frameworks.
• Participate in field safety inspections and contribute to incident documentation and investigation.
• Authorize and validate work permits during shift operations; monitor task execution for safety and quality compliance.
• Detect and escalate safety or operational risks, and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
• Supervise pre-commissioning and startup processes, ensuring procedures are followed and documented effectively.
• Collaborate with OEM vendors and technical experts during key phases of equipment activation.
• Align rotating equipment operations with supporting infrastructure such as substations and control rooms.
