We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Chief Engineer for LNG Delivery Vessel.

Information about the job:

• Job Title: Chief Engineer.
• Project: LNG Delivery.
• Location: Spain & Italy.
• Rotation: 2 month on/off contract.
• Salary: 15500 USD (negotiable). 
• Start date: Beginning of September. 

Vessel Specifications:

• 1. Type: Small-scale LNG Carrier / Bunker Vessel.
• 2. Cargo Tanks: 2 x Type C, 12,500 m³ total capacity.
• 3. Design Speed: 14 knots.
• 4. Propulsion: Electric (2 x 1,850 kW azimuth thrusters).
• 5. Gensets: 2 x 1,680 kW + 2 x 1,120 kW dual-fuel (MGO/Natural Gas) – Tier III compliant.
• 6. Class Certification: Bureau Veritas (BV) for unrestricted LNG bunkering operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment on board the LNG vessel.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and industry standards.
• Supervise and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and support as required.
• Plan and execute maintenance and repair activities, including coordinating with shore-based support teams.
• Monitor and control fuel consumption, engine performance, and other operational parameters.
• Maintain accurate records of all engineering activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment performance.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Chief Engineer on LNG vessels.
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC) issued by a recognized maritime authority.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of LNG operations and equipment.
• Strong command of English with clear reporting and documentation abilities.
• Proven leadership skills in overseeing engineering teams in rotational assignments.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse team environment.
