Information about the job:

• Job Title: HSE Officer (fluent Chinese and English).
• Project: Various Offshore Vessels.
• Location: Worldwide.
• Duration: 12 months (renewable).
• Rotation: 90/30 days on/off or 56/28 on/off on offer, depending on the project.
• Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly salary per month of work will be offered.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Insurance: Provided by the Company.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• English B2 Language skills required, Chinese B2 Language skills required.
• Minimum 2-3 years of offshore experience on board vessels.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Tasks:

• Guide and oversee the day-to-day application of safety procedures at the site.
• Perform routine safety reviews and hazard checks.
• Lead onboarding sessions focused on safety awareness for new site personnel.
• Maintain current safety documents tailored to task-specific risks.
• Ensure site teams consistently apply essential safety rules.
• Circulate safety updates, policy changes, and alerts to all site staff.
• Verify that risk evaluation and job safety planning are conducted before task execution.
• Encourage proactive safety planning and controls.
• Collect and organise safety performance data for internal use.
• Observe subcontractor activities for alignment with safety expectations.
• Check machinery and tools to ensure safe and compliant operation.
• Monitor proper use of work authorisation systems.
• Assist in examining incidents and propose improvements.
• Track handling and storage of hazardous substances.
• Support site environmental responsibilities and ensure eco-compliance.
