OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
The centralised Dry-Docking Management function will extend support to technical departments for efficient management of the respective vessels in accordance with OSM Thome systems and other relevant standards, management of dry-docking projects, administration and improvement of systems used for technical management.
The Dry-Docking Management function supports the fleet with a portfolio of various services, such as:
• Project Management
• Technical Expertise
• Communication and Coordination
• Quality Assurance and Control
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Dry-docking Planning and Scheduling
• Overview of Dry-docking scope
• Vendor Management
• Budgeting and Cost Control
• Regulatory Compliance
• Documentation and Administration as Owners of the Dry-Docking processes, systems and tools
Accountability for the Dry-Docking Projects remains with the vessel's respective Vessel Manager in charge.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Degree/Diploma in Engineering with five years of experience in the marine or shipbuilding industry
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES
• Marine Engineering or Naval Architect background with experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Sailing experience as a Senior Engineer on merchant vessels
o Experience as Vessel Manager or Technical Superintendent
o Shipyard experience as a Repair/Project Manager
o Experience as a Classification Society Surveyor
