Key Responsibilities and Roles:

  • Ensure that the competence matrices in eCrew are complied with, including to being abreast about maritime regulations and requirements. And to update matrices according to the request of PIC/Crewing Manager for all seafarers regardless of nationality.
  • Act as the business user of Computer Based Training Programs of Seagull. He/She is responsible to generating, importing and exporting CBT records. Manages and maintain confidentiality of records in the data bank. As well as monitoring and updating CBT matrices as per customers’ advice.
  • Responsible for efficient booking of training courses both to in-house and external providers. And deal with the arrangement and coordination of Filipino/non-Filipino seafarer’s and training center’s exact schedule to successfully carry out the training course. Including arrangements of travel and accommodation related to the course of the seafarer when necessary.
  • Authorize invoices in Eyeshare for courses taken by Company’s seafarers and assist the Training Admin Supervisor in verifying crew expense reports.
  • Assist in other matters concerning training administration such as, but not limited to, documentation, reporting and resource management.
  • Responsible for the capture and collation of the training evaluation and feedbacks providing accurate management reports.
  • Responsible for the logistics of Seafarers’ seminars to all concerned teams (e.g. Training Academy for the agenda/program and speakers, Crewing for the attending seafarers, Catering for the food and snacks, Admin for transportation when needed, and food and venue if to be outsourced to external providers)
  • Update and maintain records for in-house training done in Company’s Manila site.
  • Responsible for the distribution of certificates to crewing support team/crewing department and the like.

Required Competencies:

  • Experience in handling training administration and supervising computer based training.
  • Shipboard experience on internationally trading vessels is an advantage in the role.
  • At least a graduate of any Bachelor’s Degree
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Proficient in the use of Office Productivity tools
  • Proficient in progressing tasks and achieving timelines/KPIs with minimum supervision.
