3rd Engineer (3/E) – Tanker Chemical – Marshall Islands flag

**Description**
OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 3rd Engineer to join a Marshall Islands–flagged chemical tanker trading worldwide. Candidate must be competent in engine room operations, watchkeeping and machinery maintenance under the supervision of senior engineers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Stand engine room watch as per company and vessel requirements
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery
- Assist in operation and maintenance of ME main engine and related systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot and report machinery performance and defects
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and pollution prevention rules
- Maintain engine room logs, records and documentation as instructed by senior engineers
- Assist in bunkering and fuel oil transfers as required
- Support 2nd Engineer and Chief Engineer in all technical and safety matters

**Requirements**
- Valid 2nd Engineer’s diploma (STCW-compliant)
- Minimum 1 year sea service in rank as 3rd Engineer on seagoing vessels (tanker experience preferred)
- ME (MAN B&W / similar) engine experience preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international regulations
- Good English for shipboard operations and communication
