**Description**
We are looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer for an oil/chemical tanker trading in the North Sea under Norwegian (NIS) flag. Joining port will be in Europe. The ETO will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the vessel’s electrical and electronic systems, with a strong focus on cargo, engine, and safety systems.
**Key responsibilities**
- Operate, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems onboard
- Troubleshoot automation and control systems for main engine and auxiliary machinery
- Maintain and monitor cargo control, tank radar and cargo pump systems
- Maintain ballast water treatment systems and related control units
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment in accordance with regulations and company procedures
- Assist engine department with fault finding and maintenance on engine control alarm systems
**Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as ETO or similar position at sea
- Valid STCW certificates for service on Oil and Chemical Tankers
- IGF Basic course (can be completed after approval)
- Experience with Framo cargo systems
- Knowledge of ballast water systems such as Optimarin, PanAsia and Alfa Laval
- Experience with Unic main engine automation systems for Wärtsilä or similar systems
- General knowledge of engine control alarm systems
- Proven experience in troubleshooting electronic and automation systems
- Knowledge of SAAB or Krohne Skarpenord tank radar reading systems
- Advantage if you have sailed on smaller vessels and in North European trade
