Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the rank.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under pressure.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance at sea.
• Effective leadership and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility for extended offshore assignments.

Tasks:

• Supervise and coordinate engine room operations to ensure smooth vessel performance.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of propulsion and auxiliary systems.
• Monitor fuel, oil, and water systems; manage consumption and efficiency.
• Support the Chief Engineer in implementing maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Respond promptly to technical malfunctions and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate logs of operations, repairs, and inspections.
• Enforce safety protocols and contribute to crew training initiatives.
