Information about the job: 

  • Job Title: Hook-up Engineer. 
  • Project: Various Hook-Up Projects.
  • Location: Worldwide.
  • Rotation: 90/30 days on/off or 56/28 days on/off.
  • Duration: 12 months (renewable).
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly.
  • Start date: TBC.
  • Insurance: Provided by the company.


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Previous experience in offshore hook-up activities is required.
  • Proven ability to manage technical interfaces between engineering, fabrication, and installation teams.
  • Experience supporting bid preparation, detailed engineering, and field execution phases.
  • Solid understanding of constructability, drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and job card systems.
  • Skilled in developing and reviewing multi-disciplinary Hook-up and installation procedures.
  • Knowledge of marine spread specification, vessel selection, and offshore logistics planning.
  • Familiarity with safety, cost efficiency, and risk assessment in offshore operations.
  • Competence in reviewing subcontract scopes, technical bids, and Hook-up documentation deliverables.
  • Proficiency in English.

Tasks:

  • Lead and supervise engineering activities for all Hook-up phases — from planning to offshore execution.
  • Provide technical input and coordination during project design, reviews, and constructability assessments.
  • Support the preparation of Hook-up procedures, work packages, and engineering deliverables.
  • Define and manage scope interfaces between Hook-up, fabrication, and T&I teams.
  • Review and issue engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with planners to set up and maintain job cards and Hook-up schedules.
  • Develop and evaluate marine spread specifications; assess vessel suitability through site surveys.
  • Identify optimized solutions for construction and installation sequences to improve offshore efficiency.
  • Participate in subcontract preparation and technical bid evaluations related to Hook-up work.
