3rd Officer Junior – Chemical Tanker – Worldwide

Description
OSM Thome is looking for a competent 3rd Officer Junior to serve on board a Chemical Tanker under Marshall Islands flag, trading worldwide. Joining port: TBA.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist bridge team in navigational watchkeeping and ship handling
- Operate and monitor ECDIS and other navigational equipment as directed
- Assist in cargo operations for oil/chemical cargoes as per company and regulatory procedures
- Contribute to deck maintenance, safety routines and drills
- Maintain proper records and documentation related to navigation and cargo operations
- Support implementation of ISM, ISPS and company procedures

Requirements
- Minimum 1 contract experience as Jr 3rd Officer on Chemical Tanker
- Valid Tankerman Oil/Chemical Operational endorsement (or equivalent)
- Familiar with vessel ECDIS make in use on board
- Familiar with planned maintenance systems (PMS)
- Valid STCW certificates in line with rank and vessel type
- Good command of English for shipboard communication
