Information about the job:

• Job Title: Chief Engineer.
• Project: Offshore / Multi–Platform - Utility Vessel.
• Location: Taiwan.
• Rotation: 6 weeks on/off.
• Salary: USD 280/ day.
• Start date: ASAP.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Multicat experience is needed.
• Proven experience as Chief Engineer on offshore or multi-platform vessels.
• In-depth knowledge of ship propulsion, power systems, and auxiliary machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and maintenance protocols.
• Ability to manage engineering teams and coordinate with onboard departments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with offshore operational procedures and emergency response.
• Fluent in English.

Tasks:

• Oversee operation and maintenance of all engine room systems and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Lead, train, and supervise engineering crew to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Monitor fuel, energy consumption, and system performance.
• Coordinate repairs and manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Report operational status, incidents, and technical issues to vessel management.
• Support offshore operations by providing engineering solutions during critical missions.
