Ballast Control Operator / Control Room Operator (BCO/CRO) – Offshore FPSO/FSO – Brazil

**Description**
OSM Thome is seeking an experienced BCO/CRO for an offshore FPSO/FSO operating under Bahamas flag, trading off Brazil. The role is responsible for safe and efficient ballast control, cargo monitoring and control room operations in accordance with vessel procedures and international standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate and monitor ballast systems, including tank levels, stability, and trim
- Operate and monitor cargo, production and utility systems from the control room as per standing orders and procedures
- Maintain vessel stability and structural integrity within approved limits at all times
- Coordinate with deck, engine and marine departments for safe marine and production operations
- Monitor alarms, process parameters and safety systems, and respond promptly to any deviations
- Keep accurate records of ballast operations, drafts, tank soundings and control room logs
- Assist with marine operations, including hose handling, tandem offloading and station-keeping support
- Follow all safety procedures, permit to work systems and emergency response instructions
- Participate in drills, training and familiarization related to control room and ballast operations

**Requirements**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as BCO/CRO or similar position on offshore units, preferably FPSO/FSO
- Valid Ballast Control Operator / Control Room Operator certification in accordance with flag/state and company standards
- Good knowledge of vessel stability, ballast systems, marine operations and control room systems
- Familiarity with FPSO/FSO marine systems, offloading operations and emergency shutdown procedures
- Ability to read and use P&IDs, control room displays and alarm management systems
- Proficient in spoken and written English for operational communication and reporting
- Fit for offshore duty, including work in a control room environment and participation in emergency response duties
