Information about the job:
- Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator (Hook Up).
- Project: Floatel DP3.
- Location: Worldwide (Currently in Romania).
- Contract duration: 12 months (renewable).
- Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
- Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly.
- Start date: TBC.
- Overtime: Provided.
- Insurance: Provided by the Company.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- At least 10 years’ experience in fabrication or construction environments.
- Minimum 10 years coordinating and supervising multidisciplinary inspection teams.
- Hands-on background with offshore platform installation and hook-up operations.
- Advanced welding inspection qualification: CSWIP 3.2, AWS QC1, PCN Level 3, or IIW CWI-C (QCC).
- Coating/painting certification: NACE Level 2 or FROSIO Level 3.
- Solid understanding of project quality management processes, inspection workflows, and document control.
- Ability to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and vessel teams.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting QC data and preparing quality reports and dossiers.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Support the Project Quality Manager and Quality Control Manager in deploying the project’s Quality Management System.
- Contribute to the development of QC plans, inspection procedures, and project-specific quality documentation.
- Coordinate the assignment and oversight of QC supervisors, inspectors, and vessel QC personnel.
- Review and monitor implementation of QC Plans/Inspection Test Plans, ensuring proper execution of tests and inspections.
- Serve as the quality focal point aboard designated vessels, ensuring alignment with vessel capabilities and operational constraints.
- Verify inspection equipment availability, suitability, and compliance with project requirements.
- Confirm that testing methods and inspection procedures follow approved standards and contractual obligations.
- Perform onboard QC equipment inventories before demobilization and report irregularities.
- Oversee proper storage, handling, and traceability of materials and equipment.
- Validate the application of QC procedures, including special process controls.
- Monitor inspection notifications and ensure all test records and mechanical completion documents are properly maintained.
- Ensure contractors perform inspections and tests in accordance with approved plans.
- Provide support for client and third-party interactions on quality topics.
- Deliver QC-related training and guidance to site personnel.
- Make sure nonconformities are captured, documented, and closed with effective corrective actions.
- Compile, analyze, and present QC data for project reviews and reporting.
- Support lessons-learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
