• Position: Rig mechanic.
• Project: Drilling semi-sub.
• Location: Offshore Libya.
• Rotation: 28/28 (on/off).
• Salary: EUR6396. Consolidated monthly.
• Contract start: TBC (ASAP).
• Contract duration: 12 months (renewable).
• Insurances: Provided by the Company.
• Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.

Requirements / Qualifications / Competence:

• Proven hands-on experience maintaining mechanical systems used in drilling operations.
• Solid knowledge of internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors, and hydraulically driven equipment.
• Strong understanding of operational safety, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
• Ability to follow emergency response procedures and site-specific safety plans.
• Commitment to environmental protection and spill prevention.
• Capable of maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas to high housekeeping standards.
• Willingness to participate in safety meetings, drills, and audits.
• English proficiency sufficient for technical communication and reporting.

Tasks:

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical and drilling equipment.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance as assigned.
• Follow all safety rules, wear required protective equipment, and promote safe work practices.
• Complete risk assessments and confirm work permits before starting activities.
• Participate in emergency drills, safety meetings, and toolbox talks.
• Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and non-compliances promptly.
• Monitor equipment for leaks or spills and carry out immediate corrective actions.
• Keep work areas, tools, and safety equipment clean, organized, and serviceable.
