Chief Officer (C/O) – Tanker Oil/Chemical – Worldwide – Marshall Islands Flag

OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for Oil/Chemical Tankers trading worldwide under Marshall Islands flag. Candidate must be capable of handling oil and chemical cargo operations safely and efficiently and leading the deck team in daily shipboard operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall supervision of deck department and deck maintenance
- Planning and supervision of cargo loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Ensuring correct cargo handling procedures for oil and chemical cargoes
- Conducting and overseeing wall wash procedures and inspections
- Navigational watchkeeping as per company and international regulations
- Implementation of safety, environmental and security procedures on board
- Preparation and updating of cargo and stability calculations and related documentation

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year sea service as Chief Officer on Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Proven experience with chemical cargo handling and wall wash procedures
- Valid C/O license and documents relevant to rank, in line with STCW 2010
- Tanker endorsements and certificates as per regulations
- Medically fit for sea service in accordance with international standards
