3rd Officer Junior – Tanker (Chemical)

Description
OSM Thome is looking for a 3rd Officer Junior to serve on board a chemical tanker under Marshall Islands flag, trading worldwide. Joining port to be advised.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Chief Officer and 2nd Officer in all deck operations
- Stand navigational watches as per company and international regulations
- Assist in cargo operations for oil/chemical cargoes
- Ensure safe and proper use of navigation and cargo equipment
- Assist with maintenance as per planned maintenance system (PMS)
- Contribute to implementation of safety and environmental procedures

Requirements
- Valid Deck Officer license appropriate for 3rd Officer position
- At least 1 contract as Deck Officer Trainee on chemical tanker
- Tankerman Oil/Chemical Operational endorsement
- Familiar with vessel ECDIS maker in use on board
- Familiar with planned maintenance system (PMS)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness in line with flag and international requirements
