Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- Proven experience in subsea or offshore construction projects involving remotely operated or automated subsea systems.
- Strong technical understanding of subsea equipment such as ROVs, trenching, ploughing, or similar tools.
- Ability to interpret and adapt engineering procedures to meet project-specific needs.
- Experience working offshore and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on board vessels.
- Solid knowledge of HSE, quality systems, and regulatory compliance in offshore environments.
- Capability to identify operational risks, propose mitigations, and manage technical change processes.
- Effective communication skills for interfacing with vessel crew, subcontractors, and engineering teams.
- Analytical mindset with experience supporting installation optimization and production analysis.
Tasks:
- Coordinate assigned subsea and remote-technology activities to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and technical criteria.
- Provide hands-on offshore support for operation, testing, modification, and upgrades of subsea remote systems.
- Act as the technical link between offshore operations and onshore engineering teams.
- Review, improve, and implement installation and operational procedures, managing changes when required.
- Support procurement and subcontractor activities by providing technical input within approved budgets.
- Monitor execution to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety rules, and quality standards.
- Interface with vessel management and technical departments to manage equipment and operational interfaces.
- Supervise or technically oversee subsea equipment operations as required by the project.
- Identify issues impacting execution, escalate risks early, and propose practical solutions.
- Promote safety culture onboard, ensuring adherence to HSE policies and reporting of incidents or near misses.
- Support daily operational meetings, progress tracking, data collection, and verification of survey and production data.
- Assist in technical evaluations related to system modifications, upgrades, and procedure updates.
