OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join our bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to keep all engine room machinery running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in daily operation and maintenance of main engine and auxiliaries
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance for engine room equipment and systems
• Monitor fuel and lube oil systems, record readings and report abnormalities
• Supervise engine room ratings and ensure safe working practices
• Assist with bunker operations, repairs and dry-docking preparations when required
• Maintain engine room logs, records and PMS as per company procedures

Requirements

• Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC for seagoing vessels
• Good English communication skills
• Strong focus on safety, maintenance and teamwork
• Candidate must have RT Flex experience specifically with 2 strokes
• Must have Bulk Carrier experience
• Candidate should have valid STCW certificates and BT PSSR as required in Flag application
• Prefers with valid US Visa
