OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer for chemical tankers trading worldwide. If you are a hands-on officer with solid engine room skills and tanker background, we invite you to sail with us.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist Chief Engineer in safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on main engine, auxiliaries and deck machinery
• Monitor engine room parameters and keep accurate records and logs
• Supervise engine room crew and ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
• Support bunkering operations and fuel oil / lube oil management
• Work closely with deck department to support cargo and ballast operations on chemical tanker

• Requirements:
• Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC for vessels of appropriate kW
• Recent experience as 2/E on chemical or product/chemical tankers
• Valid STCW certificates, including tanker (chemical) endorsements
• Good knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and safety procedures
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and seafarer documents
• Good English communication skills
