OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer for a chemical tanker trading worldwide. Join our team and support safe, efficient and reliable vessel operations.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in running and maintaining all engine room machinery and equipment
  • Plan and carry out routine maintenance and repairs as per PMS and company procedures
  • Monitor engine performance, fuel and lube oil consumption, and keep accurate engine room logs
  • Ensure safe operation of bunkering, ballast, and cargo-related systems as required
  • Lead and supervise engine room ratings, ensuring safe working practices at all times
  • Support implementation of SMS, safety, environmental and pollution prevention procedures
• Requirements:
  • Valid STCW III/2 2nd Engineer license for motor vessels
  • Previous experience as 2nd Engineer on chemical tankers
  • All required STCW certificates, including tanker/chemical endorsements
  • Good knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and safety procedures
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills and good English
  • Medically fit for sea service and able to join worldwide
