OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Fitter to work on a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of the deck and engine team, helping to keep the vessel, equipment and structures in good and safe working order.

• Key responsibilities:
• Carry out steel repairs, cutting, grinding and welding on deck and in engine room
• Maintain and repair pipes, brackets, foundations and ship structures
• Assist engineers during maintenance, overhauls and dry dock jobs
• Support safe cargo operations by keeping fittings and gear in good condition
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and tidy

• Requirements:
• Relevant seagoing experience as Fitter or similar position
• Good welding and gas-cutting skills (certificates preferred)
• Basic engine room and deck machinery knowledge
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea service
• Good teamwork attitude and ability to work independently when needed
