Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on an LNG tanker trading in Brazil. You will be part of the engine team, keeping all machinery in good, safe working order and supporting smooth daily operations on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and LNG cargo-related machinery
- Carry out routine inspections, planned maintenance and repair work in the engine room
- Monitor engine room equipment, record readings and report any abnormalities
- Follow safety and environmental procedures, including company and international regulations
- Support bunkering, cargo and watchkeeping duties as assigned by senior engineers
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW III/1 3rd Engineer license, with LNG or tanker experience preferred
- All required STCW safety and tanker/LNG certificates up to date
- Previous sea service in the engine department on tankers, LNG experience an advantage
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and seafarer documents
