Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on our worldwide trading oil/chemical tankers. You will be in charge of the galley, preparing good, safe and nutritious meals for officers and crew, and keeping high standards of hygiene and food handling at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for all crew
- Manage food stores, issue provisions and control stock
- Ensure strict hygiene and cleanliness in galley, mess rooms and stores
- Follow company standards for food safety and catering
- Support safe working practices in the galley and assist with inspections
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook, preferably on tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea duty
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley operations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational crew
- Basic English communication skills
