OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook for oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Sail with a professional crew, manage the galley, and serve safe, good-quality meals at sea.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the galley and stores
- Manage food stores, stock rotation, and provisioning
- Follow vessel catering budget and company menus where applicable
- Apply strict food safety standards and comply with maritime regulations
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on tanker vessels (oil/chemical preferred)
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer medical
- Good command of English
- Strong galley management and food hygiene knowledge
- Fit for worldwide trading and able to work in a mixed-nationality crew
