Join OSM Thome as a Messman on board a bulk carrier vessel. In this role, you will help keep the galley, mess room, and accommodation areas clean, tidy, and ready for the crew, supporting smooth daily operations at sea.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in meal preparation and serving food to officers and crew
• Clean and maintain galley, mess room, pantry, and dining areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, and galley equipment
• Maintain proper hygiene and food-handling standards at all times
• Collect and dispose of garbage as per vessel procedures
• Support general housekeeping in accommodation areas when required

Requirements

• Previous experience as Messman or similar position at sea preferred
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per regulations
• Good command of English for shipboard communication
• Hardworking, reliable, and able to work in a multinational crew
• Willingness to follow safety and hygiene standards on board
