Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a General Cargo vessel trading in Australian waters. Take full charge of the engine department and ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of all machinery and equipment onboard.

• Key responsibilities:
• Oversee and operate main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
• Lead, train and supervise engine room crew
• Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs as per PMS and company standards
• Monitor bunker and lube oil consumption, maintain records and reports
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and class/flag requirements
• Cooperate closely with the Master and deck department for safe cargo and ship operations
• Requirements:
• Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) CoC, STCW compliant
• Recent experience as C/E on General Cargo or similar vessel type
• Strong knowledge of engine room systems, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Good English communication skills
• Valid medicals and mandatory STCW safety certificates
