OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to serve on chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will have full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and technical equipment, ensuring compliance with company and international standards.

• Key responsibilities:
• Lead, supervise and train engine room crew
• Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs on all machinery and equipment
• Monitor engine performance, fuel and lube oil consumption
• Ensure safe operation of cargo handling and auxiliary systems
• Maintain engine room logs, records and reports as per company and statutory requirements
• Ensure compliance with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and other relevant regulations
• Cooperate closely with the Master on vessel safety and efficiency

• Requirements:
• Valid Chief Engineer license (unlimited) for motor vessels
• Previous experience as C/E on chemical tankers
• Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as required
• Strong knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and safety
• Good spoken and written English
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
