Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a passenger ferry in Europe. You will support the Galley team in preparing meals for crew and passengers while keeping high standards of hygiene and safety on board.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Assist Chief Cook with daily food preparation and cooking
  • Prepare basic dishes, salads, snacks and crew meals
  • Follow menus and portion control as instructed
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the galley and storage areas
  • Handle, store and rotate provisions correctly
  • Support in loading and checking galley stores
  • Follow all food safety and galley safety procedures
  • Requirements:
  • Experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea or in similar role
  • Basic knowledge of hot and cold kitchen work
  • Valid STCW certificates and medical for sea service
  • Good command of English
  • Team player with good attitude and willingness to learn
