Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a passenger ferry in Europe. You will support the Galley team in preparing meals for crew and passengers while keeping high standards of hygiene and safety on board.
Key responsibilities:
Assist Chief Cook with daily food preparation and cooking
Prepare basic dishes, salads, snacks and crew meals
Follow menus and portion control as instructed
Maintain cleanliness and order in the galley and storage areas
Handle, store and rotate provisions correctly
Support in loading and checking galley stores
Follow all food safety and galley safety procedures
Requirements:
Experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea or in similar role
Basic knowledge of hot and cold kitchen work
Valid STCW certificates and medical for sea service
Good command of English
Team player with good attitude and willingness to learn
