Description
2nd Officer required for Bahamas-flagged Offshore Special Purpose Vessel operating in Brazil, joining in Rio de Janeiro. The officer will work in a 4/4 rotation with Brazilian crew, supporting navigation, DP operations and cargo/offloading duties in offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Chief Officer with vessel’s navigation, passage planning and bridge watchkeeping
- Operate and monitor DP system in accordance with company and client procedures
- Contribute to safe offshore operations, including shuttle tanker and offloading activities
- Ensure compliance with international, flag state and company safety standards
- Maintain navigational equipment, charts and publications up to date
- Participate in drills, safety meetings and permit-to-work procedures
- Assist with cargo, stability, and deck operations as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as 3rd Officer on similar vessels or shuttle tankers
- Valid STCW Officer of the Watch (OOW) license appropriate for vessel and trade
- All mandatory certificates as per vessel/flag/company matrix
- Full DP certificate
- Proven shuttle tanker experience
- Valid medical fitness certificate suitable for offshore service
- Good command of English for bridge and operational communication
