Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Strong background in Quantity Surveying with experience overseeing or leading QS teams.
  • Proven ability to manage cost control, quantity tracking, and commercial reporting activities.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and cost reconciliation processes.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, preferably within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector.
  • Analytical mindset with capability in data handling, reporting, and performance evaluation.
  • Competence in managing structured management systems, procedures, and documentation workflows.
  • Ability to interpret technical, commercial, and contractual information simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial/quantity data.
  • Confident communicator able to coordinate between engineering, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Experience in onshore project environments is preferred.


Tasks:

  • Oversee quantity surveying activities and provide direction to QS personnel.
  • Maintain and control quantity tracking systems across project phases.
  • Review, validate, and consolidate cost and quantity data from site and subcontractors.
  • Support preparation of financial forecasts, cost reports, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to verify progress quantities and commercial submissions.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of management system documentation and reporting tools.
  • Analyze project data to identify cost trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in contract administration and support commercial negotiations when required.
  • Reconcile quantities with accounting and project cost records.
  • Provide structured reporting to management on project performance indicators.
  • Work closely with engineering and project controls teams to align scope and execution data.
