Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Strong background in Quantity Surveying with experience overseeing or leading QS teams.
- Proven ability to manage cost control, quantity tracking, and commercial reporting activities.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and cost reconciliation processes.
- Experience working with subcontractors, preferably within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector.
- Analytical mindset with capability in data handling, reporting, and performance evaluation.
- Competence in managing structured management systems, procedures, and documentation workflows.
- Ability to interpret technical, commercial, and contractual information simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial/quantity data.
- Confident communicator able to coordinate between engineering, procurement, and commercial teams.
- Experience in onshore project environments is preferred.
Tasks:
- Oversee quantity surveying activities and provide direction to QS personnel.
- Maintain and control quantity tracking systems across project phases.
- Review, validate, and consolidate cost and quantity data from site and subcontractors.
- Support preparation of financial forecasts, cost reports, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to verify progress quantities and commercial submissions.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of management system documentation and reporting tools.
- Analyze project data to identify cost trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in contract administration and support commercial negotiations when required.
- Reconcile quantities with accounting and project cost records.
- Provide structured reporting to management on project performance indicators.
- Work closely with engineering and project controls teams to align scope and execution data.
