OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for an oil/chemical tanker. If you are a hands-on leader with solid tanker background and strong deck/cargo skills, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee deck operations and ensure safe navigation and watchkeeping
  • Plan, supervise and monitor cargo loading, discharging and tank cleaning
  • Maintain stability, draft, trim and cargo planning in line with regulations
  • Lead the deck crew, ensure proper maintenance of deck and cargo equipment
  • Implement and follow company SMS, ISM, ISPS and safety procedures
  • Support the Master in shipboard operations and emergency response
• Requirements:
  • Valid Chief Officer license (STCW II/2) for tanker vessels
  • Oil/Chemical Tanker Endorsement and up-to-date STCW certificates
  • Strong experience as Chief Officer or 2/O on oil/chemical tankers
  • Good knowledge of cargo handling systems and tank cleaning operations
  • Strong safety mindset and good leadership and communication skills
  • Good English, both spoken and written
