Join OSM Thome as a Fitter on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Work with an experienced crew, keeping vessel structure, piping and machinery in good condition and safe for operation.

• Key responsibilities:
• Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting and fabrication as required onboard
• Maintain and repair hull, decks, handrails, ladders, doors and hatches
• Assist engine and deck departments with maintenance and repair jobs
• Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times
• Keep tools, workshop and work areas clean and in good order
• Requirements:
• Previous seagoing experience as Fitter on bulk carriers or similar vessels
• Strong welding and gas-cutting skills (stick and/or MIG, gouging an advantage)
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international standards
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work safely, follow instructions and cooperate well with the crew
