OSM Thome is looking for a 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer to serve on board a chemical tanker trading worldwide. • Key responsibilities:
• Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room machinery
• Carry out planned maintenance and daily routine checks as assigned by the 2nd Engineer
• Monitor and record engine room parameters and report any abnormalities
• Assist with bunkering, fuel transfers and lube oil handling
• Support upkeep of engine room, workshops and stores in a clean and safe condition
• Follow all safety procedures, permit-to-work and company policies at all times
• Requirements:
• Valid 4th Engineer / Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch CoC (STCW III/1 or equivalent)
• Experience on tankers preferred; chemical tanker experience is an advantage
• All mandatory STCW certificates and valid Seaman’s Book and medical fitness certificate
• Good English communication skills, spoken and written
• Strong safety awareness, teamwork attitude and willingness to learn
