OSM Thome is looking for a motivated 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer to sail on chemical tankers worldwide. You will work closely with the engine team, support safe and efficient running of all machinery, and build your experience on modern tanker operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room machinery
• Carry out routine checks, watchkeeping and engine room rounds
• Support planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures, especially for chemical cargoes
• Keep engine room logs and maintenance records up to date
• Work closely with senior engineers and follow company standards on board

Requirements

• Valid 4th Engineer / III/1 CoC or equivalent for tanker service
• Previous experience on tankers (chemical tanker experience preferred)
• All valid STCW certificates and documents as per rank
• Tanker endorsements in line with international requirements
• Good English communication skills
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and ready for worldwide trade
