Set sail as Chief Officer on a bulk carrier with OSM Thome. Take a leading role on deck, support safe and efficient cargo operations, and work with an experienced international crew trading worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Master in safe navigation and overall vessel management
• Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharging, and stowage of bulk cargoes
• Lead and manage deck crew in daily operations and maintenance
• Oversee deck and cargo gear, ballast operations, and stability
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures
• Conduct safety drills, inspections, and crew training
• Maintain deck logs, reports, and certification related to deck department

Requirements

• Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license and STCW certificates
• Experience as Chief Officer or strong 2/O experience on bulk carriers with Crane
• Good knowledge of bulk cargo handling, stability, and ballast operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills with multinational crews
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Candidate must have valid STCW including BT PSSR training
• Prefers with valid US Visa
