OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer to serve on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will support the Master in safe navigation, cargo operations, and overall deck management, ensuring the vessel operates safely and efficiently at all times.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist the Master in navigation, watchkeeping, and overall vessel management
• Plan and supervise cargo loading, stowage, securing, and discharging of bulk cargoes
• Lead and manage deck crew, ensuring safe work practices and good seamanship
• Oversee deck maintenance, mooring operations, and upkeep of LSA/FFA
• Monitor stability, ballast operations, and draft to ensure safe vessel condition
• Maintain and implement safety and environmental procedures as per company and international standards

• Requirements:
• Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (unlimited)
• Recent experience as C/O on bulk carriers with crane
• Good knowledge of bulk cargo handling, stability, and ballast operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Candidate must have Bulk carrier with crane experience
• Candidate must have valid STCW including BT PSSR training
• Prefers with valid US Visa
• Prefers with LOG carrier experience
