Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural prefabrication supervision within oil & gas or similar industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of fabrication workshop processes (structural steel and/or piping).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication documents, and technical specifications.
- Proven experience coordinating teams, subcontractors, and site-based workforce.
- Working knowledge of HSE principles and quality control in fabrication environments.
- Proficient English communication skills (spoken and written).
Tasks:
- Oversee daily prefabrication operations carried out by subcontracted teams and in-house personnel.
- Ensure fabrication activities align with approved engineering documents, quality standards, and schedule targets.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Confirm readiness of drawings, materials, and tools prior to work execution.
- Develop and manage short-term activity plans for assigned workshop scopes.
- Coordinate workflow between prefabrication areas and installation/erection teams.
- Allocate and monitor workforce, equipment, and technical resources, adjusting where needed.
- Support subcontractors and workshop teams in interpreting drawings and resolving technical issues.
- Supervise cutting, assembly, fitting, welding, and related fabrication operations in workshop settings.
- Verify inspection and testing activities (including NDT) are completed and approved before subsequent coatings or stages.
- Track work progress and compare against planned milestones.
- Compile production and manpower data for regular reporting updates.
- Maintain ongoing measurement and verification of installed quantities.
- Identify engineering or execution issues on site and escalate when required.
- Organize workshop zones and work fronts to improve efficiency, safety, and workflow clarity.
