2nd Engineer (2/E) – Oil/Chemical Tanker – Worldwide

**Description**
OSM Thome is looking for a qualified 2nd Engineer (2/E) to serve on board an oil/chemical tanker trading worldwide. The vessel sails under Seychelles flag, with next joining planned in Argentina.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist Chief Engineer in safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
- Plan and carry out engine room maintenance, repairs and inspections
- Monitor and record performance of main engine, auxiliaries and related equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and pollution-prevention procedures
- Supervise engine room ratings and support their day-to-day tasks
- Maintain engine room logs, reports and planned maintenance records
- Participate in drills and emergency response as per company and vessel procedures

**Requirements**
- Valid 2nd Engineer (2/E) license, meeting international and flag state requirements
- Minimum 1 year sea service as 2/E on oil/chemical tankers
- Experience with tanker operations and relevant safety procedures
- Valid STCW certificates appropriate for rank and vessel type
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
