Housekeeper – Passenger Ocean Cruise Vessel (Bahamas Flag)

Description
OSM Thome is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a passenger ocean cruise vessel operating under the Bahamas flag. The position is based onboard with joining in Hong Kong and operation in Spanish waters. The Housekeeper will maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all assigned areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for guests and crew.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest cabins, corridors, pantries, and public areas to cruise vessel standards
- Handle daily cabin service, turndown service, and periodic deep cleaning
- Safely operate housekeeping equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to instructions
- Collect, sort, and handle linen and towels in coordination with laundry staff
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and damages to the appropriate officer
- Maintain proper storage and stock control of cleaning materials and equipment
- Follow all onboard safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures
- Assist with embarkation and disembarkation day cabin preparation and turnaround duties

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience, preferably on passenger vessels or in hotel/hospitality
- Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safe chemical handling
- Able to work in a fast-paced shipboard environment and follow chain of command
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage
- Proficiency with basic computer systems for work reporting and communication
