Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a passenger ocean cruise vessel operating from Spain. Support the galley team in preparing safe, tasty and well-presented meals for guests and crew while keeping high standards of hygiene and food safety on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Cook in daily meal preparation for passengers and crew
- Prepare salads, side dishes, basic hot and cold items as instructed
- Follow menu plans, portion control and company cooking standards
- Ensure galley, stores and equipment are kept clean and orderly
- Handle provisions, stock rotation and correct food storage
- Follow HACCP and all onboard safety and hygiene procedures
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea, preferably on passenger or cruise vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents as per rank
- Good knowledge of galley safety, food hygiene and allergy awareness
- Ability to work in a busy galley team and follow instructions
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
