Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a passenger ocean cruise vessel operating from Spain. Support the galley team in preparing safe, tasty and well-presented meals for guests and crew while keeping high standards of hygiene and food safety on board.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Assist Chief Cook in daily meal preparation for passengers and crew
  • Prepare salads, side dishes, basic hot and cold items as instructed
  • Follow menu plans, portion control and company cooking standards
  • Ensure galley, stores and equipment are kept clean and orderly
  • Handle provisions, stock rotation and correct food storage
  • Follow HACCP and all onboard safety and hygiene procedures
  • Requirements:
  • Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea, preferably on passenger or cruise vessels
  • Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents as per rank
  • Good knowledge of galley safety, food hygiene and allergy awareness
  • Ability to work in a busy galley team and follow instructions
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written
